So, when i got home from work i noticed i had 2 big boxes waiting for me, I knew they were my gifts for Will's sister's bridal shower. As i took them out of the box I heard the glasses i bought rattling around the box, opened it up and low & behold they are broken. (i have that kinda luck and the shower is on sat. yeah i know last minute) So after being on the phone with a very nice guy named Robert and all things got settled. I sat down and opened my laptop and after reading a topic reply from Craftster about Ravelry, I GOT MY INVITE!! I was so excited that i called Will, and he was like what are you talking about hahaha. So after explaining it, he was like that shit sounds so awesome. DAMN RIGHT IT DOES!!
My user name is Yarncravings. So if anyone is on it already come find me. I don't have anything up yet but soon i will, little by little.
OK, so over the Memorial Day weekend we went over to our friends Mike and Lelah's place. She also knits and spins and dyes her own yarn, she has an Etsy shop here. But i saw this yarn on her table that caught my eye.
Since i loved it so much she gave it to me! Its 140 yards of cormo wool, that she spun herself.
I'm making this little scarf out of it.
Its so soft and lovely.
YAY!!
And about my Jaywalker socks...I am going to take Ilix's suggestion and soak the yarn in some warm water to maybe soften them up a bit. Thanks for the suggestion!

Jaywalker
I have started the Jaywalker socks. While i love the pattern, I am hating the yarn!
I love the color and how it self stripes but the feel of it is just eeehhhhhhh.
Its Knit Picks Parade, and i don't think i can go on with it.
I don't want to rip it out but it feels very dry and gross. it makes me feel like i want to keep putting lotion on my hands, i don't know what else to do. Should i just push on and maybe after wearing and washing they will get softer? I am up for suggestions, I'll just put them to the side and work on Thermal for the time being. I am almost to the point of dividing for the neckline!!!

Poll
In the side bar i put up a poll about knitting styles, to see how many people either pick or throw the yarn when they knit. I'm a thrower, thats how i started when i taught myself to knit. I had no idea what i was doing when i started nor did i know there was different ways, but years later after i learned the ways i'm curious of what others do!

Weekend
So Thursday after my last final at school, I headed to Spruce Run for a little camping. This is a twice a year thing for Will(fiance) and his family (Dad, Uncle, and Cousin) to go camping and fishing...all catch and release...
For the past couple of years I have also been going along, mostly for the camping and just to get away and relax.
Here is me relaxing and working on my Thermal.
And a close-up
It was very relaxing for the most part except for the nights, spiders and creepy shit all over!
Happy Mother's Day to everyone.

Thermal
So here is my progress on my Thermal.
Yarn: Knit Picks Gloss in Dusk
Needles: Size 4
Yea size 4 needles, I apparently knit tighter than anyone ever!!! i am never trying to force the needle in the stitch so i never thought i knit really tight but whatever. The pic is a good representation of the actual color, a little bright but good. I feel like its going really slow but i also havent been full force into it due to finishing little projects here and there.
Thats all in the world of thermal.

FOs *Updated*
Felted Slippers are DONE!!!!
This is them before felting:
And After:
I ran them through the washing machine twice because after the first they still seemed a little big but after the second time they fit perfectly!!!! I decided to not sew in the felted Icord because it was hard enough trying to fit these under the sewing machine and i just wanted to be done with them, and i am perfectly content with leaving them out.
On another note, i had made a felted kitty bed some time back but then remembered about it as i went to throw the slippers in the washing machine, so i also finished that:
Here is Squeaks barely fitting in.
My progress on Thermal has stopped due to finishing the slippers but now I am getting back on track with it...And i haven't forgotten about a pic on the progress....
**Update**
While the pic above doesnt really seem like my cat is barely fitting in the bed, she gave me a better top view pic heheh
This was too cute not to post, ok thats it!

Slippers
So i am about 55% done with these:
This is one pre-felted slipper foot, Icord and one cuff which does not get felted. I just got done with the gusset and am moving on to the 7" of foot on the second slipper. But i have taken a break from the endless knitting in the round to work on my Thermal. Sorry no pictures yet, i took some but my camera would not focus....WTF!!! I will try again later.
